What Inspires us?
Do you remember as a child being scolded for using something for the wrong purpose? Children are amazing at problem solving. When left to themselves they often find solutions to problems in their everyday lives. Some people call this “creative play.” Some parents would call it a “nightmare” to clean up, or a disaster to “undo.” The child is often so proud of their hard work, and what looks like a disaster to us, taught them something about the world around them.
One of the beautiful things about being allowed to have creative play is that it teaches little minds to think for themselves. It also allows them to develop the skills to look outside the box to solve problems.
Children need to play. They need to explore. We want to inspire them to do so.
